The Great Salt Lake Section of the Society of Plastics Engineers "World of Plastics", 2002 Essay Contest has been won by Vicki Alisa Kitt, a senior at Skyline High School in Salt Lake City.
Ms. Kitt, whose interests include softball, calculus and Scottish Highland Dance, titled her essay, "Honoring Alex".
For being judged the best on the Section level, she receives a $100 honorarium and a certificate. Her school also receives a $100 honorarium.
Ms. Kitt's essay was entered in the Society Essay Contest along with the other winners at the Section level. The best essay at the Society level will receives a $1,000 honorarium and a plaque. The school will also receive a $1,000 honorarium.
