The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), presents the 10th annual "Wonders of Plastics" essay contest. Open to all junior high and high school students, the essay must be submitted to the local Section, it can be sponsored by a teacher and must meet certain requirements. The winning entry at the Section level will be published and publicized in the Section newsletter and forwarded to the Society's headquarters to compete with winning essays from Sections around the world. The international first prize consists of $1,000 honorarium and plaque for the student and a $1,000 honorarium for the school. The winning essay will be printed in SPE's official magazine, Plastics of Engineering.
