2002 is here. Let the celebration begin. No, this is not a plug for the 2002 Winter Olympics; it is a reminder of the 60th anniversary of The Society of Plastics Engineers. Congratulations to all SPE members. We want to welcome Peter Ruplinger at Ruplinger Corporation as a sponsor the SPEcifics Newsletter. We appreciate his support. The 2002 Student Essay Contest deadline is January 31. This is for all middle and high school students do not forget to let your associates know about this. After you have encouraged a student to enter the Essay Contest, you will have time to enjoy the Winter Olympics that start in February. While you watch the "games", play close attention to the different ways that plastics are used. Winter sports would not be as popular without the benefits of plastics. The TechFair will take place on March 14 at the Salt Lake Community College. These new presentations will be very informative and beneficial. If you are interested in helping with the TechFair or if you would like to have a table top presentation please give Lance Neward a call as soon as possible. Thanks for your support.
