Technologies  and Paint Film--An alternative Class A Automotive Finish, comprised the fourth and fifth sessions, respectively, of the forum.
The third forum concentrated on multilayer coextrusion, including concepts from computer modeling of the process, precision coextrusion of optical films, laminated oriented -polyolefin films for imaging, multilayer films in packaging, use of multilayer films in finishing, layer adhesions, and a session by
Dr. Eldridge Mount on how one can characterize multilayer melt disturbance.
The final forum was one on Fundamentals--Especially Invention and Innovations.
Dr. T.S. Choo started off with "How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Patents".  Part of the forum was on preparation for discovery.  The author, Dr. P. M. Subramanian of Dupont pointed out that "While serendipitous discoveries such as polyethylene and polytetrafluoroethylene arose out of basic research toward other goals, 'chance favors the prepared mind'."

We're also planning to have the "TechFair" again this year; an opportunity to learn, in a concentrated one-day technical session, about some of the latest in plastics materials, processes and machinery.
